Our Mission

We bridge science, fashion, and art by transforming complex research topics into wearable illustrations that spark curiosity and meaningful conversations. Each piece we create carries a story — a visual translation of scientific ideas that invites people to look closer, ask questions, and connect with science in an unexpected, human way.

Our mission goes beyond aesthetics. By blending creativity with scientific awareness, we aim to make science more accessible and relatable to everyone. A portion of our profits is dedicated to supporting early-stage researchers, helping them continue their work through small financial contributions and creative collaborations that celebrate their efforts and discoveries.

We are not just building a clothing brand — we are cultivating a community of messengers: people who wear knowledge proudly, who believe that fashion can inspire thought and dialogue. Whether you’re a scientist, an artist, or simply someone who loves to learn, you belong here. Because curiosity has no boundaries, and neither should the way we express it.

The story from our funder

“When I worked on my research project, I saw firsthand how challenging it is to communicate science—and how much dedication scientists put into their daily work.

It made me wonder: how could we share science in a way that’s simple, engaging, and still supports the people behind it? (yep - not an easy task!)

Then I noticed something simple yet powerful: people wear clothes every single day.

So I asked myself: what if science could be shaped into art, using clothes as canvas to carry that art—and the knowledge within it—into everyday life?

That’s how The Shapes Of was born. A way to spread science without lectures, without jargon. Just by wearing it.”

how it all began

In 2019, I packed my life into a suitcase to start a career in academia. I moved abroad, started fresh, and dedicated myself to experiencing what being ascientist truly meant.

the journey

Along the way, I met brilliant and inspiring people — researchers who amazed me with both their intelligence and resilience.

Some became close friends, and from them I learnt not only science, but also teamwork, perseverance, and the human side of research.

the rollercoaster

But the reality of research wasn’t easy. Sleepless nights, failed experiments, and constant doubts made my journey a rollercoaster.

When I finally graduated, I realized that academia was not the world I felt I belonged to.

a new perspective

Still, I didn’t want to step away from science. On the contrary — I wanted to support it in a new way.

Because behind every discovery are years of effort, sacrifices, and brilliant minds that the public rarely sees.

outside the box

I asked myself: “What if I could bring science closer to people, in a way that sparks curiosity and creates visibility?”

It was a challenging question which answer was found in my interests for art and fashion.

The Shapes Of

That’s how The Shapes Of was born: a project that transforms scientific concepts into sustainable fashion.

Each illustration tells a hidden story, making the public not just the audience, but the messengers of science.
